After training with ITEC in 2001, Sophie worked with aromatherapy massage, reflexology and healing to achieve deep relaxation and relieve tension and pain.
Before having children Sophie worked in many busy offices, retreat centres, homes, sometimes travelling with her clients, and also in a physiotherapy practice within a doctor’s surgery.

Having been diagnosed with a painful condition called 'trigger finger' in which the sheath around a tendon of a finger or thumb becomes swollen and extremely uncomfortable, I saw my GP who referred me to a specialist. I was prescribed a course of ultra sound on my finger to decrease the swelling however after numerous sessions over a 2 month period the condition had not improved. It was whilst I was having a back massage with
Sophie she suggested she tried some healing on the affected finger. I thought there was nothing to lose as the next course of action recommended by my specialist was more severe involving cortisone injections into the tendon of my finger. Sophie worked on my finger for over half an hour during which time I fell into a deep state of relaxation. After the treatment my finger did feel more mobile however it wasn't until around a week later that I realised my finger was completely back to normal and since then I have had no reoccurence of the symptoms.
